Daniel Ángeles Hernández (2022-2023)

He is a film producer, editor and critic. He holds a BA in journalism from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and also studied at the National School of Film Arts. He sat on the youth jury and the film critics workshop panel at the 33rd Mar del Plata International Film Festival, Argentina. He has written on film and audiovisual media for the magazines Código and Revista Icónica, the portal Time Out, the newspaper Milenio, and the book Cuadernos de Crítica 01. Un nuevo mapa latinoamericano. In 2017 he won the first FICUNAM Contest for Audiovisual Criticism and sat on the MICGénero youth jury. He has directed two short films, which have been screened at several festivals in Mexico, and lectured in journalism and discourse theory at UNAM and the Autonomous University of Mexico City. He recently studied colour in film at the Higher Film School (CDMX).
