Alejo Duclos (2022-2023)

He studied at the Argentinean University of Cinema for a degree in film directing from 2016 to 2020. From 2018 to 2020, he worked on the guest area in festivals such as the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI), Mar del Plata International Film Festival (MDQFILMFEST) and Buenos Aires International Film Festival (FIBA). In 2020, he attended the Ku Leuven University in Belgium on an exchange scheme, following a programme linked to anthropology, cultural diversity and contemporary dance. He was selected for the Berlinale Talents Buenos Aires 2021. In 2022, he produced a series of experimental short films called La contracción de la espera with the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and the Rythm in the Arts seminars with the National University of the Arts, Buenos Aires. He is part of APOCA, a group of artists organising cultural performances and events in the province of Buenos Aires and demonstrates in favour of LGBTQIA+ rights. He is currently completing his thesis on docufication with archive material in contemporary Argentinean cinema. He works as a programmer of short films at the Cervantino Festival in Argentina and produces audiovisual materials and cultural events.
