She is a Mexican artist who lives and works between Mexico City and Los Angeles, USA. Her work brings into play political or philosophical ideas that could be classified as social commentaries, poems, or experiences using abstract forms of humour. She mostly works with new media and time-based arts, although she is increasingly focusing on narrative filmmaking. Natalia García Clark’s work has been exhibited in a number of museums and cultural spaces, including the Kirchner Cultural Centre in Argentina, the York Art Gallery in England, and the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in the United States as an award-winning artist for her video, Self-Portrait.
