From a very young age, Alejandro Martos has felt a creative interest in music, photography and, particularly, film. He started out by shooting toy cities and experimenting with stop-motion techniques in an attempt to bring these small figurines to life, before making a series of medium-length films documenting his summers. In 2022 he earned a diploma from the Basque Film School (ECPV), specialising in Directing and Photography and participating in many different audiovisual productions and projects. Also in 2022, he sat on the Youth Jury at the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICC). At present, he is an active collaborator with the film recovery and preservation project ‘Memoria Celuloides’, cleaning, restoring, digitising and cataloguing archive contents.
