Marina Vinyes Albes has a PhD in Visual Art from Sorbonne University. She has a BA in Humanities and has completed courses on Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies at Pompeu Fabra University, and on Artistic Project Design at Sorbonne Nouvelle University. She has been the Director of Programming and Exhibitions at the Catalonia Film Library since February 2020. In Paris, she taught at the Faculté des Lettres at the Sorbonne and has also worked at the Artistic Projects Departments at the Jeu de Paume, where she curated numerous film cycles between 2013 and 2018, as well as the video installation exhibition Omer Fast. In Barcelona, she has collaborated with the CCCB, the EUROM (European Observatory on Memories), the Biennial of Thought, the ICUB, the Loop Festival and the Caixa Foundation, organising seminars, exhibitions, film seasons and other cultural manifestations. In 2013, she won the International Walter Benjamin Prize for her essay Usos y abusos de la imagen en el universo audiovisual de la Shoah (Documenta Universitària, 2015).
