Marcos García (2019-2020)

Born in 1995 in San Sebastian, Marcos moved to Paris in 2013 to earn a degree in film studies. A regular visitor to the Cinémathèque Française and the cinemas of the Latin Quarter, he completed a BA in film and audiovisual studies at Paris 1 (Panthéon Sorbonne). The following year, he completed an MA in Screenplay and Audiovisual Writing at the University of Paris-Nanterre and later graduated as an editor from the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français (CLCF). In addition to his studies, he has also carried out several solo projects. In 2015, he co-directed the docudrama Vinyland (screened at the San Sebastian International Film Festival), in which he was also took charge of cinematography and editing. His next step was to complete his first drama feature El decimosexto sueño de un artista (selected for the 2017 Cinemística festival in Granada), which he wrote, directed and edited. This dreamlike—and at times surreal—project seeks to tap into the public's intuition rather than its reason. He is currently preparing a short film which he will co-direct and edit, while at the same time working on the script of a feature film.
