This project encompasses not only the digital restoration of the film En el balcón vacío (Jomí García Ascot, 1962), inspired by the memoires of the Navarran writer María Luisa Elío at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War, it is also the start of a research project that aims to recover the stories of the exiles who participated in the film, many of whom eventually became key figures in the cultural and cinematographic life of Mexico.
