Irati Crespo was born in Rentería in 1996. After graduating in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Mondragón, in 2019 she completed a Master’s course in Film Criticism at the ECAM Film School in Madrid, in collaboration with the Caiman CDC magazine. In 2019, alongside other students, she formed part of the team responsible for programming the film section of the INDIE & DOC Fest Cine Coreano festival, held at the Matadero Cultural Centre in Madrid. She has published critical reviews of the official section of the 5th FILMADRID festival on the Caiman and Milmadrid websites and for three years running formed part of the technical team at the San Sebastián Film Festival. She currently collaborates with the Cineclub Kresala team, engaging in programming and organisation work, and publishes critical reviews and other articles about the latest premieres on the Macguffin website. Given the multitude of opportunities for audiovisual programming offered by the mutation of traditional cinema screens, she believes now is the perfect time to study curating.
