Efraín Bedoya was born in Lima, Peru. He is a member of the South Peruvian Film Archive Network, a project established in 2018 to recover film archives and collections from the southern part of Peru. He also directs the MUTA International Festival of Audiovisual Appropriation, an exhibition space and audiovisual training programme focusing on avant-garde film based on appropriation. At the same time, he manages Diable Fuerte, an engraving workshop which makes products using traditional fabric and paper printing and stamping techniques, as well as wooden objects.
