Luiza Goncalves, born in Buenos Aires (1997), is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, writer, and photographer. In 2019, she graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film. Her work has been presented across New York at friend’s houses and at the Nyack Village Theater, Synesthesia Gallery, and Brooklyn Academy of the Arts. She has read her poetry aloud at several readings hosted by local writers and has published small pieces in independent zines. One moment she may be seated writing or sewing, the other she may be convincing herself to do a public performance, or she just might be taking photos in the dark and recording.
