Manuela Guiérrez earned an undergraduate degree in Documentary Film from the ECAM, while at the same time studying for a mini-degree in Culture, History and Contemporary Thinking at the UNED (Spanish National Distance University). As a filmmaker, she is particularly interested in intimacy, the Internet and formal exploration. Her latest short film, cosas que no van a morir, has been screened at the Images Festival, Curtocircuito and Cineteca, among others. As a curator, in May 2022 she founded Amargo, a curating project that aims to foster interdisciplinary filmmaking and documentary film screening.
