Born in Barcelona in 2001, Júlia Izaguirre earned a degree in Film from ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya), before working in non-fiction and documentary projects as a technician in the photography department, as well as, on some occasions, in direct sound. She is particularly interested in multiple forms of hybrid fiction-non-fiction creations in the world of film, as well as in transversal works that cross different disciplines and knowledge areas. She is currently studying and experimenting with the materiality of different media and formats, working on the interconnection between devices, memory and geology.
