Born in 1994, in Rio de Janeiro, Amanda began her professional career in the Visual Arts, producing video art works. She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Communication from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and she studied Visual Arts at School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage. She worked as a film curator at Canal Brasil - a TV channel dedicated to Brazilian independent cinema - and as a freelancer for ANCINE (Brazilian Film Agency), being part of the FSA’s - the largest Brazilian audiovisual fund - selection committee. She is also experienced in film criticism and worked in film production and editing. For the past year, Amanda worked as a Film Restoration Technician at Mapa Filmes do Brasil, where she has participated in the digitization of sixteen titles. Amongst short and feature-length films, she worked in the restoration of titles like “A Hora da Estrela” (Suzana Amaral, 1985), “O Forte” (Olney São Paulo, 1974), “Um é Pouco, Dois é Bom” (Odilon Lopez, 1970), as well as films directed by Jorge Bodanzky.
