Gema Barba Aranda was born in Madrid, Spain, in 2001. She holds a double degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication from the Carlos III University of Madrid. Her interests include the intimate, the virtual and the experimental, themes she explores in both her creative and research activities. She did an internship at the independent film production company Garde Films and at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. She also participated in the multidisciplinary project ‘Nos separa el puente y el río’ and in the 12th Lesbian Film Festival in Madrid.
