Born in Waterloo, Canada, Natalia Orasanin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Toronto Metropolitan University. From there, she went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Cinema and Media Studies at York University, where she focused on the ecopoetics of experimental film processes, and cinema’s potential to radically realign our relationships with non-human forms. At present, her interests include handmade film, ecotheory, alternative pedagogy, and ephemerality.
