Simón Jarpa is a Chilean animator and illustrator. He studied post-production at the Chilean Film School and illustration at The Animation Workshop. Since then he has directed five animated music videos and has worked as a poster designer, album cover artist, storyboarder, animator and art director for animation. His work lies somewhere between science fiction, fantasy and a caricatured look at the New Age. In 2022 he was a member of the León y Cociña animation team for the film Beau is Afraid, directed by Ari Aster. He also published his first artist’s book, Acorde.
