Carmina Frankel is a lecturer with a degree in Philosophy from the National University of Río Cuarto (UNRC). She is currently working towards a PhD in Philosophy at the National University of Córdoba (UNC), where she is writing a doctoral thesis that aims to systematise a concept of photography from the perspective of the non-human performativity of technology. She is a researcher with the Political Theory Studies Programme (CIECS-CONICET) and is part of the Arqueologías del Porvenir project. Within this framework, she has published essays and academic papers on technical images and performativity, including Hacia una nueva imaginación fotográfica (2024), published in Arqueologías del Porvenir and Por una nueva óptica de las imágenes técnicas (2024), published in Issue 1 of the UNSAM Laboratoria Journal.

She is also a photographer and creator of Una Imagen (a space dedicated to research and philosophical reflection on technical images, as well as to supporting the development of artistic projects), where she teaches courses and offers mentoring services (https://www.instagram.com/unaimagenn/).
