He studied music at the Conservatorio de las Rosas in Morelia and at the Instituto Superior de Música in Xalapa. He has participated in various music festivals in Mexico, the United States, Chile and Germany, specialising in cello playing, chamber music and composition.

After completing his music studies, he earned a degree in Cinematography from the Escuela Superior de Cine in Mexico City, where he directed two fictional shorts, Fragmentos (2018) and Nostos (2021), along with a documentary, Los ratones (2020). Following that, he focused on sound design and musical composition for film and other audiovisual projects, as well as on film and sound exploration, delving into a range of different disciplines, including film, music and the visual arts, exploring their limits and points of convergence.

One example of this is La gruta (2024), an operatic installation created in collaboration with the plastic artist Clotilde Jiménez, where he provided the musical composition, sound design and visual proposal, combining analogue 8mm, 16mm and digital formats in a three-screen installation that premièred at the Jumex Contemporary Art Museum.
