Born in Warsaw in 1998, Zuzanna Gorczycka graduated from the Łódź Film School with a degree in Film Art Organisation (production), before going on to earn a Master's in Social Arts from the University of Warsaw. She also gained directing experience after completing a course at the Wajda School.
During her studies, she collaborated on projects such as the film Mariam and Nathan, which won a Silver Frog at Camerimage. She also worked as an assistant director with Tomasz Wasilewski and Anna Jadowska. In 2021, she made her directorial debut with the short film Just for a While, which was screened at festivals such as New Horizons, the Krakow Film Festival, the Gdynia Film Festival and the Izmir International Film Festival. Canal+ acquired the film rights.
In 2022, she travelled to Mexico, where she took film courses under the tutelage of director Francisco Vargas, participated in the production of short films and made video reports on indigenous communities in Chiapas. As part of her Master's degree, in 2024 she organised film workshops on social media for teenagers, which resulted in the creation of a participatory film project. She is currently post-producing her new short film, Una de los dos.
