Imanol Salaberria (Donostia-San Sebastián, 1991) is a filmmaker and audiovisual creator with a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. He lives in Donostia-San Sebastián, where he specialises in 3D creation and research into new technologies, such as Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence, as tools for art and social transformation. His project La barrera del espejo / Ispiluaren hesia was selected for the 2024 Call for Intangible Digital Creation. His creative activities range all the way across the audiovisual spectrum, from the most cinematographic formats to digital tools, music production and visual experimentation. He explores the possibilities of creation by hybridising different formats and delving into concepts such as identity, queerness, monstrosity, emotional expression and nostalgia for the future.
