Carolina Cappa is an audiovisual archivist, professor, and researcher. She worked as head of the film archive at the Museo del Cine "Pablo Ducrós Hicken" in Buenos Aires and at the Cinemateca Boliviana in La Paz. She was head of the "Nitrato argentino" preservation project, focused on the collection of surviving films from early Argentine cinema, published in a book and an open-access website. Interested in counter-industrial cinema and alternative film technologies, she has participated in various restoration and preservation projects with Latin American and European archives and universities. She has worked at Elías Querejeta Film School since its inception, where she serves as a professor, tutor, and researcher. She recently completed the "Segunda Mano" research and restoration project there, for which she is the principal investigator. She is currently the head of the EQZE Research Department.
