Podwórka (Sharon Lockhart, 2009, 31 min.)
In Podwórka, an abandoned urban territory becomes a space for experimentation inhabited only by children who, through their movement, transform the place and the way it is navigated. An apparently inert environment becomes a speculative territory of play and imagination.
Sharon Lockhart places the camera in the corners, the alleys, and the overlooked nooks of the city. How do we inhabit spaces that have been forgotten? Podwórka responds through innocence and play, giving us back the time to observe the city through situations as simple as they are full of life.
S01E03 (Kurt Walker, 2020, 57 min.)
A virtual love story set in Vancouver, New York, and the world of a dying massively multiplayer role-playing game. In S01E03, one does not inhabit a single territory, but several simultaneously, crossed by scales, species, times, memories, and heterogeneous remains. Fragmentation does not imply a total rupture, but rather the possibility of recomposition and encounter.
“The only images that matter right now are the ones that bring people together.” The film seems to rescue human and magical elements that still shine despite the darkness of the times. The universe of Kinet Media points in that direction. In a virtual world that seems to be governed by individualism, they propose sharing from a place of generosity and accessibility.
