Olimpia Pont Cháfer works as a consultant in the film industry. Her professional experience is mainly linked to festivals, exhibitions and distribution. She collaborates with various different film events, such as the Sarajevo Festival, the Seville and Valladolid editions of MERCI (the Independent Film Market) and the European Work in Progress event in Cologne. From 2008 to 2016 she worked for the international sales company Coproduction Office, where she headed up the sales department for 7 years. In 2017 she was appointed international coordinator of the European Arthouse Cinema Day, a position she still holds today. Since 2020 she has worked for the project development laboratory TorinoFilmLab, where she is head of industry. As an independent consultant, she regularly participates in committees, conferences and round table debates, and also coordinates international acquisitions for the German distributor Piffl Medien.
