Head of Studies and Teaching

Mar Gonzalez has a dual degree in Hispanic Philology and Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra, receiving the Extraordinary Award for both courses. Thanks to the Agorart Scholarship for the Extension of Artistic Studies (2016), she then went on to earn a Master's in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary Film at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She then completed her studies with a Master's in Comparative Studies of Literature, Art and Thinking from Pompeu Fabra University and a Master's in Secondary Education from the Public University of Navarra. Before completing this last degree, she was hired by San Fermin Ikastola and worked as a teacher and tutor for five years in both public and private schools. She has directed several award-winning short films, including Gaur elurra egin du (2015), Bestealdetik (2016), Tu cuello, tallo de luz (2017) and Ya no está (2017). As part of her Master's in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary Film, she co-directed El tercer paisaje (2017), which was included in the official section of the IBAFF (Murcia) and the Nova Autoría section of the Sitges Film Festival (Barcelona). She has also won prizes in various narrative and poetry competitions.
