Diego Ginartes (1983, Spain) is based in Helsinki. He works as a film programmer and producer. He holds an MA in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies, University of Pompeu Fabra and Visual Arts from the University of São Paulo. He has been the director of Cinemaissí, Latin American film festival in Finland from 2016 to 2018. Nowadays he is the project coordinator of Cuarto Cine, the pedagogical program of the festival. He founded new cinema/new talents, a film event to encourage first and second feature films with unconventional proposals. As a film programmer, among other projects, he curated the screening series Other/Cinema, produced by the research group Critical Cinema Lab from Aalto University and he has been part of short movies programming team of Tribeca Film Festival.
