Marc grew up in Alforja (Baix Camp, Catalonia) and graduated in Film Direction from the Advanced School of Film and Audiovisual Studies of Catalonia (ESCAC). His short film Mater Salvatoris has won prizes at the International Festival of Catalan Language Cinema, the Cortada-Vitoria, the FICME in Medellín and the KinoArte in Londrina (Brazil) and was short-listed at the Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival. He took part in the group art project ‘Moviement’ promoted by the Sorigué Foundation, with the ECAM (Madrid) and the ENERC (Buenos Aires). Marc is passionate about literature, tradition and cinema, and is interested in the possibilities of using film as a creative vehicle as well as an area of theoretical and poetic reflection. He has written reviews in online media and the Sitges Festival journal (2014 and 2015). He also contributes to the Dream Magazine art journal, where he has published fiction and essays, and the on-line platform, which centres on audiovisual exhibition. He is researching an idea of shamanic film and developing a planned feature film focusing on traditional witchcraft.
