Mayra Morán (1988, Santiago de Chile) graduated in Film and Television Direction from the University of Chile with an experimental short film entitled 'APUNTE 1: del error y los fragmentos', a line of work she has since continued to pursue while simultaneously working as an editor. She has completed ten feature films to date and is currently engaged in the process of making her eleventh, among other projects. As part of her personal research work she has continued with her series 'APUNTES', in which she makes notes about audiovisual production in the form of a kind of anonymous autobiography which gradually becomes more and more similar to a video essay and a general reflection on archives. In 2017 she was awarded a grant to complete a Master's degree in Creation and Contemporary Audiovisual Practices at the LAV School in Madrid, from where she continued editing for Chile while at the same time collaborating with Spanish productions.
