From 2016 to 2019, Nicholas Nahuel studied Scriptwriting at the Buenos Aires Film University and worked in several film projects as a script doctor. In 2020, due to the Covid pandemic, he abandoned his studies and returned to Italy. After trying to find a job in the Italian film industry, that same year he joined the selection team at the Lago Film Fest. In 2021 and 2022, he coordinated the selection process at the Princìpî Awards, a competition for directors under the age of 25. In 2023 he became head of film programming, curating all the festival competitions alongside the artistic management team. With producer and director Nolitha Mkulisi, he also curated a focus on South African film, theorising a historiographic and stylistic reading of this field through contemporary short films. In 2021 he joined the Rodolfo Sonego Awards (comedy film script writing competition) as coordinator of the selection team and assistant artistic director. Also in 2021, he sat on the selection committee of the European Short Pitch Awards.
