Film director and contemporary dancer. Her work is focused on exploring the intimate stories of women, from introspection processes that embrace the metaphor to everyday stories that reflect the different problems they face in a reactionary society. Through archives, she is currently studying and subverting the narratives established by official history and those rooted in the colonial and conservative idiosyncrasy of the Ecuadorian highlands. She has also researched amateur films on social protest movements in Latin America. Her work also centres around the movement of the camera and bodies, exploring the intersection between performance, the performing arts and film. Her work has been exhibited and recognised at festivals such as EDOC, Agite y Sirva, EQUIS, FIAVL, DANÇA À DERIVA, DVDanza, CineRadical, Super OFF, DOCKET and Corcel del Cauto. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Directing from the University of the Arts (ISA) in Havana and a Master’s in Visual Studies from Simon Bolivar Andean University (UASB).
