Stephanie de Marchi Ricci (2024-2025)

Born in São Paulo, she has been living in Lisbon for four years. She studied Film at EICAR (France, 2015) and at FAAP (Brazil, 2018). She holds a postgraduate degree in Writing Arts from NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal, 2021). She specialised in Screenwriting at the Roteiraria (2022), in Hybrid and Performative Dramaturgies at the Teatro Cemitério de Automóveis (2019), and in Documentary Filmmaking at the International Film Academy (2014). She wrote about culture for the newspaper Folha de São Paulo between 2017 and 2019 and has been teaching filmmaking to teenagers in Daqui Pra Fora (São Paulo) since 2021. Among other projects, she wrote and directed the short films Quem se move (2024), Liberdade é uma Palavra (2019), Santa (2017) and Mebêngôkre (2016). Today she works with European and immigrant film as a screenwriter, script and assistant director, and seeks to broaden the debate on decoloniality in film festival curatorship.
