Diego Acosta Hernández (1990) is Audiovisual Director at the Catholic University of Chile and has a Master’s in Documentary Film from the University of Chile. He has made various short films and his first full-length film Al Amparo del Cielo (2021) won Best Chilean Film at the Valdivia International Film Festival, Best Film at the Play-Doc Film Festival, Spain, and Best Debut Feature Film at the Atlantidoc Festival, Uruguay. His films have been shown at festivals such as CPH:DOX, Viennale, Open City, Clermont-Ferrand, among others. He is a member of the CEIS8 collective in Santiago, which researches and experiments with film formats, produces experimental and expanded films and hosts film format workshops and exhibitions.
