Born in 2001, Laura Bermúdez graduated with honours in Film and Audiovisual Arts, specialising in directing, from the TAI school, where she received a talent scholarship. She is currently pursuing a Master's in Film Criticism at the ECAM, taught by Caimán, Cuadernos de Cine. During the course of her studies, she has made several short films, both in and outside the academic field, both fiction and documentary. They include Deseo de una tarde de verano, Luces nocturnas, and her final year short film, Las reales esposas, currently in distribution. She combines costume design work for advertising and television with the development of her first feature-length fiction film, a project that has been selected for the Cinenido 2024 Laboratory and the Semilleru Campus, the residency that takes place within the framework of the Gijón Film Festival.
