Born in Buenos Aires in 1996, Rafael Federman works in film, theatre and performance. He studied Film Editing at the National School of Filmmaking and Experimentation (ENERC) and participated in Berlinale Talents in 2017 and the Di Tella University Film Programme in 2018. While completing his studies, he also trained in theatre. He co-directed the short films No aflojes Miriam and Luis, which received awards from BAFICI and the National Arts Fund, and acted in films such as La Sociedad de la Nieve by J.A. Bayona, Rojo by Benjamín Naishtat, Dos Disparos by Martín Rejtman, La larga noche de Francisco Sanctis by Francisco Marquez and Andrea Testa, Los sonámbulos by Paula Hernández and Matadero by Santiago Fillol, among others. In the world of theatre and performance, he has participated as an actor in research and creation processes focused on plays such as Lorca el teatro bajo la arena by Laura Paredes, Constelaciones del sur and Las piedras, both directed by Agustina Muñoz; Mareaciones by Florencia Rodriguez Giles, La espada en la piedra by Beto Antonio Villa and Animal Romántico by Agostina Luz Lopez, among others. He is currently filming El oído absoluto, his first solo short film.
