Manuel Alejandro Muñoz Pineda (C07 (2024-2025))

Manuel Muñoz (Tegucigalpa, 1997) is a filmmaker and graduate of the University of Cinema Studies (FUC) and Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) in Buenos Aires. He was a resident of the Art School Alliance programme with the University of Fine Arts Hamburg (HFBK).

His short films Rubicón (2020), El cadáver de Walt Disney (Walt Disney’s Corpse, 2021) and Tegucigalpa no tiene Street View (Tegucigalpa has no Street View, 2023), premiered at festivals such as Visions du Réel, BAFICI and FICUNAM respectively. He is currently finishing his first full-length film, Los reinos, and working on his second, Fusil olímpico.

He is co-founder of Sinroncar Cine, an independent film company aimed at making personal, daring films. He is also co-founder of ATELIER, a fledgling film school dedicated to promoting amateur film production in Honduras.
