EQZE participates in APEX 2025
Clara Sánchez-Dehesa, EQZE's Film Preservation Studies coordinator, along with students Juliana Príncipe, Daniel Ángeles Hernández, and Renata Arcos, will participate in the 2025 edition of the APEX (Audiovisual Preservation Exchange) gathering. This event will occur in Guadalajara, Mexico, from May 26 to June 6.
They will collaborate with students from other institutions and NYU's MIAP program alumni. Their work will involve evaluating audiovisual collections and cataloging holdings at venues such as the Cineteca del Festival de Cine de Guadalajara, the Archivo Visual y Sonoro de la Biblioteca Pública del Estado de Jalisco, and the Departamento de Imagen y Sonido de la Universidad de Guadalajara.
APEX also hosts public workshops and masterclasses on topics such as preservation, collection management, and strategies for funding the sustainability of audiovisual archives and collections.
