Lorena Soria Iñiguez (Barcelona, 1993) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, specialising in Graphic Documents, from the Higher School of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage of Catalonia (ESCRBCC), where she is currently doing a Master’s in Preventive Conservation of Movable and Immovable Property. In 2022 she specialised in the preservation of film and audiovisual material through the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola Film Archive postgraduate course.
She has worked in various institutions and companies as a conservator and restorer of graphic, documentary, bibliographic and audiovisual heritage. She also has experience in archive and document management, including the description and cataloguing of photographic and audiovisual archives and collections. Among these are the photographic archives of the Maritime Museum of Barcelona and Kutxa Fundazioa, the State Archives of Turin, the experimental audiovisual platform HAMACA and the companies Restauro del Libro-Abbazia di Santa Maria del Monte and Dokuzain. She currently works as a conservator and archive technician for the San Sebastian Film Festival Archive.
