Ana Júlia Silvino is a Brazilian film critic, journalist and researcher. She has a degree in Radio, TV and Internet from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and publications in books, film catalogues, e-magazines and blogs such as Revista Cinética, Verberenas, Câmarescura, Multiplot and Descolonizarte. Her film research interests include noisy images, films structured in accordance with sound method and films that make a commitment to noise and aesthetic disorder as a means of rendering contemporary film more visible. She is currently striving to understand how music and noise artistically impact or (re)invent a new way of looking at contemporary cinema. She has participated in various training programmes, including the 5th Talent Press Rio (2021), was a member of the Youth Juries at the 24th Tiradentes Film Festival (2021) and the Juiz de Fora Film Festival (PRIMEIRO PLANO - 2020). She has worked as a curator at the Lumière y Cia Film club (2019-2021) and during the 1st feature film script competition at the Fade to Black International Festival (2021). She also works as a music critique and was invited by the Moreira Salles Institute to collaborate in the Música Negra Brasileña podcast broadcast by Rádio Batuta.
