Jorge Jaramillo (1993) San José, Costa Rica. Since 2018 he has worked on the conservation and preservation of audiovisual heritage at the Image Archive of the Costa Rican Film Production Centre.
He graduated in Journalism from the Latin University of Costa Rica, did a specialisation in preservation and restoration at the Society for Audiovisual Heritage (DiPra) and the Latin American Coordinator of Moving Image Archives (CLAIM) He has worked as editor and photographer for the Costa Rica International Film Festival (CRFIC) and as facilitator of the audiovisual language workshop for young people in rural communities in his country.
He is a member of the Central American and Caribbean Network of Film and Audiovisual Heritage (Red CCAPFA). His passion for documentary photography, music and diversity of the image in its different formats led him to become actively involved in recovering the region’s audiovisual memory.
