Fabio Miguel Quintero Pérez (2024-2025)

He holds a degree in Journalism from the Faculty of Communication of the University of Havana. He collaborates with the Cuban Digital Audiovisual Encyclopedia (ENDAC) and specialises in researching the creative film club movement in Cuba. He is a columnist for the independent publication OnCuba News and his articles have been published in the magazines Magazine AMPM, Rialta, Hypermedia Magazine, Periodismo de Barrio and La Joven Cuba. He is a member of the communications team for the 42nd Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.

He is author of the unpublished book A 16 milímetros de altura: el vuelo del cine club Evaristo Herrera por el audiovisual cubano, which tells the story of the group of Seventh Art fans in Bejucal, Cuba. Together with filmmakers Lucía Malandro, Daniel Saucedo and Josué Gómez, in April 2023 he founded the collective ‘Archivistas Salvajes’, a project aimed at creating the first archive of Cuban amateur cinema. With Josué Gómez, he is currently making a full-length archival documentary entitled La herencia maldita.
