Marieke Elzerman (Amsterdam, 1996) earned her Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Arts (specialising in film) in September 2019 from the KASK School of Arts and Conservatorium in Ghent, Belgium. Before studying film, she worked as a production assistant on various UCLA productions in Los Angeles. She also did an internship at Broken Road Productions in Venice, LA. During her filmmaking studies, she participated in the workshop ‘Filming in Peru’ with Werner Herzog in May 2018. Her film ‘Marieme, Marieke’ (2018) was screened at the Van Gelder Gallery in Amsterdam. From September to November she was an intern for Salomé Lamas in Lisbon, Portugal. In September 2020 she will graduate with her film ‘Bond’ from the Master’s degree in Film run by the KASK School of Arts and Conservatorium.
