The D’A begins
The festival presents feature films developed at the school, such as El diablo fuma (y guarda las cabezas de los cerillos quemados en la misma caja) by Ernesto Martínez Bucio, and short films like Luz ígnea by Catalina Giordano, El tercer paisaje by Julen Etxeberria, and La nostra habitació by Jaume Claret Muxart. Four other projects by EQZE students will participate in D’A Film Lab.

This year’s D’A Film Festival (27 March - 7 April) will feature the Spanish première of El diablo fuma (y guarda las cabezas de los cerillos quemados en la misma caja). This film by Ernesto Martínez Bucio, which recently won a prize at the Berlinale, will form part of the Talents section. Another feature film that premièred in Berlin was Tú me abrasas, by Matías Piñeiro, who conceived it during his time in the Filmmaking Studies Master’s Degree program at the school. The film will be screened within the Direccions section. The D’A will also feature Delirio, by Alexandra Latishev, a student from the sixth intake year at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola.
EQZE will also be present in the Un impulso colectivo - Curts section, with works such as Luz ígnea by Catalina Giordano, El tercer paisaje by Julen Etxeberria and La nostra habitació by Jaume Claret Muxart. This short film premièred at the beginning of this year at the IFFR Festival in Rotterdam. Jaume Claret Muxart is also the director of Estrany riu, a feature film currently in post-production that is one of the projects selected for the D’A Film Lab Barcelona section. In this section, High by Daniel Alegrete, Foresta by Adrià Expòsit-Goy, and El espectro de Justine II by Andrea Sánchez Iañez will also participate.
