AZTARNAK: Last things (Deborah Stratman, 2023)

What would happen if humans disappeared from the Earth? Who would bear witness to the life that remains? Deborah Stratman's film explores this possibility from the point of view of rocks and minerals. Blending microscopic imagery with landscapes and computer-generated images, the film travels through the secret life of rocks: a journey through evolution in which the prehistoric is inseparable from the possibility of imagining the future.

AZTARNAK is a program organized by the Film Curating Studies students of the 2025-2026 Academic Year at EQZE.
