Izaro Cuesta Arrizabalaga (2024-2025)

Born in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in 2003. Since she was a child, she has been fascinated by the world of cinema. When she had the opportunity, she decided to sign up for theatre classes in order to get closer to this world through acting. When she discovered the Basque Country Film School (ECPV), the first thing she did was to sign up for the summer courses they offered, then she realised that the world of cinema was wider than she had imagined and, without hesitation, she enrolled in the degree in Film Direction and Production. There she has had the opportunity to train as a technician through internships on film shoots, in positions such as: production manager, assistant director, script... She has also had the opportunity to direct four short films as a director. She is especially interested in the history of cinema, in its state, in its why and how, why it is made, how it is made... Currently, she has decided to continue her training in a more artistic and critical way, she is still interested in everything that has to do with the wide world of cinema and its questions, and she is willing to continue investigating its devices, its language, and the why and the interest of each work.
