The Courtisane Festival will feature two film seasons organised by students from the 2023-2024 Film Curating Studies course at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola. This inter-institutional collaboration between the Belgian festival and the school, which began last year, stems from a proposal made by Courtisane to (among other initiatives) work on incorporating new perspectives into its cinematographic discourse.

Juliana Arana Toscano is the curator of "Domestic _graphies", a programme divided into two parts that explores the weight of memory in domestic gestures. The films featured include works by Chick Strand, Laura Huertas Millán, Naomi Uman and Alba Bresolí (among others). The programme "Interwoven Scores: A Symphony of Correspondence", curated by Ana Júlia Silvino, adopts an interdisciplinary approach to the musical work of composers such as Beatriz Ferreyra and Éliane Radigue, as well as the work of filmmaker Lis Rhodes. The films that make up this programme propose a new way of interpreting musical works and scores as living, ever-changing entities.

The 24th Courtisane Festival will be held in Ghent (Belgium) from 2-6 April.
