The Film Curating Studies students at EQZE present 'Aztarnak', a public film program.
'Aztarnak' (Traces) proposes cinema as a space for exploration, imagining possible futures based on the traces and signals that move through our present. The program, consisting of ten sessions divided into three blocks, begins on February 15th."

"Aztarnak" refers to the exploration of traces and signals as a way to imagine futures. Through these films, the 2025-2026 Curating students seek out signals, questions, and possible answers that allow us to envision other horizons: multiple, expansive, and fragmentary.
The program is structured around three blocks, conceived as an atlas of images and experiences, in which cinema serves as a tool for reflecting on the present. Ranging from fiction to documentary, the selection brings together works that expand and problematize the meaning of cinema, engaging with issues linked to technological transformations, the environments we inhabit, and the ways—real or imagined—we project what is to come.
Furthermore, the program aims to foster an active dialogue with the audience. This will take shape in a space for creation and collaboration located in the room adjacent to the cinema, which will open one hour after each screening. There, viewers can contribute to the construction of a collective atlas of images using physical materials, creating an archive of possible future imaginaries inspired by the films.
These activities will be facilitated by the students. These two lines of work express a desire to reflect on and enjoy cinema as a community, seeking to explore the unknowns of the present together."
