Hypothesis 2025 (Second day)
10:15 17:45
- Place: EQZE Zinema
- Price: Free until full capacity
"The Time of Hypotheses" is the event in which the Master's students of the three specialties of Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola —Film Archive Studies, Film Curating Studies and Filmmaking Studies— exhibit the works they have developed throughout the course.
These proposals, projects (mostly incomplete and ongoing), take diverse forms: plans and actions for the restoration and preservation of audiovisual heritage, research projects, editorial and film programming proposals, exhibitions and installations, films in development, as well as all the works completed throughout the course.
This program approaches cinema from all fields and prefigures dozens of paths, ranging from the academic to the creative, to explore the geography and history of cinema. All the paths of cinema in two weeks.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY PROJECT
‘Un retrato imaginario de Touria Hassan’ (An imaginary portrait of Touria Hassan) is an attempt to piece together a fragmented portrait of one of Morocco's first theatre actresses. Based on interviews, archives from the cultural magazine Al Anis, which was published in Tetouan between 1947 and 1952, and speculative writing, this project is conceived as a dossier of imaginary archives dedicated to Hassan.

La voz prolongada. Desarrollo de una metodología de restauración digital
Jorge Fernández Jaramillo
RESTORATION PROJECT
‘La voz prolongada’ (The prolonged voice) develops a methodology for digitally restoring the Costa Rican documentary A propósito de la mujer (1975). The methodology integrates technical, ethical and research criteria. Focusing on the first film directed by a woman in Costa Rica, the same woman who also founded the Film Department, the project proposes a methodology for approaching the restoration of state cinema which, under the slogan ‘Giving voice to those who have none’, financed its own self-criticism.
All presentations, screenings, and other activities will begin at the time indicated in the program. We kindly request maximum punctuality.
Out of respect for the participants, access to the space will not be permitted once a presentation has begun until it has concluded.
The program's content is subject to possible last-minute modifications.
